Centre extends Robert J Ravi’s tenure as BSNL chairman for 3 more months

NEW DELHI: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Tuesday extended A. Robert J. Ravi’s additional charge as the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the state-run telecom carrier Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) by another three months, effective April 15, 2026.

For the first time on July 13, 2024, Ravi, serving as a deputy director general (DDG) – Standards, Research & Innovation at the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), was given the additional charge as chairman of BSNL and MTNL.
