Centre migrates 16.68 lakh email accounts to Zoho platform at ₹180.10 crore expenditure: Jitin Prasada

NEW DELHI: The Centre has migrated 16.68 lakh official email accounts of various ministries and departments to a cloud-based platform managed by homegrown Zoho Corporation at an expenditure of nearly ₹180.10 crore, Minister of State for Electronics and IT Jitin Prasada informed the Parliament on Wednesday, adding that the government continues to use services provided by the National Informatics Centre (NIC).

Responding to queries raised by TMC MPs Rachna Banerjee, Deepak Dev Adhikari and Mala Roy, Prasada said in a written reply, “The payments are linked to the actual number of email accounts migrated. The pricing ranges between ₹170 and ₹300 per account per month, depending on mailbox size between 30GB and 100GB.”
