Blinkit Ambulance: Emergency rides remain free, non-emergency trips to cost Rs 2,500

Blinkit Ambulance will charge Rs 2,500 for non-emergency transfers, while emergency services will continue to remain free, Zomato founder Deepinder Goyal said on Thursday. The move aims to discourage routine medical bookings that could otherwise be handled by private transport and ensure ambulances remain available for life-threatening emergencies.

Goyal said the service has handled approximately 20,000 emergency cases over the last two years, out of around 42,000 total cases, without charging patients.
