GSMA re-elects Bharti Airtel’s Gopal Vittal as chair until December 2028
NEW DELHI: The GSMA’s board of directors has re-elected Bharti Airtel’s Executive Vice Chairman Gopal Vittal as the association’s chair for the upcoming 2027-2028 term, until December 2028.
Vittal has served on the GSMA Board for 10 years, including as chairperson since 2025.
“As GSMA Chair, he oversees the strategic direction of the organisation, which represents the world’s mobile operators and companies in the broader mobile ecosystem,” the London-headquartered telco association said in a statement on Monday.
