Telecom rules alone can’t stop online scams, entire ecosystem must act: GSMA’s Vivek Badrinath

New Delhi: Global telecom industry body GSMA wants authorities to implement unified regulations covering the entire ecosystem to tackle online scams and maintain people’s trust in digital technologies, a senior official of the organisation said.

In an interview to PTI, GSMA Director General Vivek Badrinath said there has been a lot of simplification in telecom rules, but still it is heavily regulated, and there is room for further improvement.
