India’s smartphone shipments fall by 20% on-year in 3Q26: Counterpoint
NEW DELHI: India’s smartphone shipments fell by 20% year-on-year in the July to September quarter (Q3 2026), weighed down by memory price-driven pressures and holding back of channel inventory by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), Counterpoint Research said in a report released Friday.
For the full calendar year 2026, the research agency has estimated smartphone shipments may decline by 13% as pricing pressure continues to impact affordability and replacement demand.
