Manipur Police arrest 13 for sharing, monetising explicit videos of women on Telegram
Aizawl: Manipur Police have arrested 13 people, including a juvenile, for allegedly circulating and monetising non-consensual explicit photographs and videos of women from the state through multiple Telegram channels.
The material allegedly included child sexual abuse material.
An FIR was registered at Moirang police station in Bishnupur district after police received information that administrators and users of multiple Telegram channels were allegedly circulating, trading and monetising non-consensual sexually explicit photographs and videos of local women, including child sexual abuse material.
