Airtel pivots to data centres, sovereign cloud “next area of focus”: Sunil Bharti Mittal

New Delhi [India], October 14 (ANI): Bharti Airtel is now pivoting towards data centres within India, with sovereign cloud emerging as its “next area of focus,” said Sunil Bharti Mittal, Founder and Chairman Bharti Airtel.

Speaking at the Bloomberg New Economy Forum, Mittal said countries are increasingly prioritising digital sovereignty, with growing emphasis on protecting sensitive data and ensuring it remains within national borders.
