RSS body demands ban on India entry of Elon Musk’s Starlink, cites national security risks
The Swadeshi Jagran Manch, the economic wing of ruling BJP’s ideological mentor RSS, today condemned statements of SpaceX founder Elon Musk with respect to India and sought a ban on the entry of his firm Starlink to the country.
SJM’s national co-convener Ashwani Mahajan cited national security risks from Starlink to seek a ban on the company in India.
‘Starlink’, a company owned by Elon Musk, had applied for a licence to launch and operate commercial satellite broadband services in India but has not yet received the same (though the application has not been rejected either).
