MRO-TEK Networks’ Q2FY27 net profit falls 60%, revenue from operations surges 78.3%
Small-cap company MRO-TEK Networks on Tuesday reported that its fiscal second-quarter (Q2FY27) net profit declined 60.2% year-on-year to ₹2.30 crore. This compares to a net profit of ₹5.8 crore in Q2FY26.
The Bengaluru-headquartered company – formerly Umiya Buildcon – says it is an Indian trusted-source original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and system integrator specialising in telecom and networking solutions for enterprises, telecom operators, government and mission-critical sectors
Conversely, the homegrown vendor’s revenue from operations rose by 78.3% year-on-year to ₹18.79 crore in Q2FY27. It had reported revenue from operations of ₹10.53 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.
The decline in the company’s bottom line was driven by higher finance costs and depreciation, which offset the top-line growth.
The company operates across three primary segments – products, real estate, and solutions. It recorded mixed revenue performance across the segments in the July-September quarter of FY27, compared to Q2FY26.
The products segment grew by 56.86%, with revenue rising from ₹7.33 crore to ₹11.50 crore. Conversely, the solutions segment experienced a 30.04% decline, decreasing from ₹3.96 crore to ₹2.77 crore, while the real estate segment saw the largest contraction, dropping 64.24% from ₹12.60 crore to ₹4.50 crore.
The company said it continued to invest in research and development, with a focus on indigenous network operating systems and next-generation switching technologies.
“Customer engagement across the telecom, enterprise and government sectors remained encouraging, supported by a healthy order pipeline,” MRO-TEK Networks said in its earnings statement.
“Our Q2FY27 performance highlights the continued momentum in our products business, alongside our focus on execution across business verticals,” said Aniruddha Mehta, CMD, MRO-TEK Networks, adding that the company continues to strengthen its technology capabilities, improving operational efficiencies and advancing our ongoing real estate developments.
“The quarter required continued focus on supply chain planning and timely order execution amid volatility in the global electronics industry,” said CS Krishnadas, CEO, MRO-TEK Networks. “Going forward, we will continue to focus on execution, innovation, and developing networking solutions aligned with evolving customer requirements.”
