Google Cloud India MD Sashikumar Sreedharan steps down, Amit Kumar named interim head

Google Cloud is set for a leadership change in India, with Amit Kumar taking interim charge of the company’s operations following Sashikumar Sreedharan’s departure.

Karan Bajwa, president of Google Cloud Asia Pacific, announced the change in a LinkedIn post on Wednesday, saying Sreedharan was leaving Google to pursue an opportunity outside the company.

“Our momentum in India has never been stronger, fuelled by accelerating business and AI growth across the market. As we continue to build our next phase of growth, I want to personally thank Sashikumar Sreedharan, who is moving on from Google to an external opportunity,” Bajwa wrote.
