Silicon Valley companies discuss simpler GST, customs rules with CBIC

New Delhi: The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) met tax representatives from leading technology firms, including Amazon, Accenture, Google, Cisco and Lam Research, to discuss the further simplification of GST and customs rules to boost investment in India.

CBIC chairman Vivek Chaturvedi met a delegation led by Shefali Goradia, chairperson, Deloitte, South Asia and the Silicon Valley Tax Directors Group (SVTDG), which brings together tax directors and finance executives from more than 100 leading US technology companies, primarily headquartered in the Silicon Valley region.
