Maharashtra signs BharatNet agreement for rural broadband expansion

NEW DELHI: Digital Bharat Nidhi (DBN), under the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), has signed an agreement for the implementation of the Amended BharatNet Program (ABP) in Maharashtra. This program will operate under a state-led model, aiming to strengthen digital infrastructure and accelerate broadband connectivity in rural areas.

The agreement was signed between DBN, DoT, the government of Maharashtra, MahaNet Digital Infrastructure Limited (MDIL), Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), and Maharashtra Information Technology Corporation Limited (MahaIT).
