Air Liquide to invest 170 mn euros in Japan to supply UHP gases to semiconductor maker

NEW DELHI: Air Liquide said on Wednesday that it will invest more than 170 million euros (~$192.1 million) to supply ultra-high purity gases to a semiconductor manufacturer in Japan.

Under a long-term agreement, Air Liquide will support the expansion of its customer’s existing logic chip production facility. The French supplier of industrial gases and services will build, own, and operate several production units to deliver ultra-pure nitrogen, oxygen, argon and hydrogen, including significant backup storage capacity.
