Apple scores A+ for record $13 billion iPhone exports from India

New Delhi: Apple exported $13.2 billion iPhones from India in the first five months of this fiscal year, nearly 47% higher than a year earlier and contributing about half to the country’s total electronics shipments and 82% to smartphone exports during the period.

Total smartphone exports in the April-August period rose about 36% from a year earlier to $15.96 billion, and as much as 98% of the incremental increase came from iPhones alone, show data available with ET.
