Apple Pay in India: Axis Bank brings tap-to-pay to iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch users

After years of regulatory hurdles, Apple has launched Apple Pay in India with Axis Bank as its first banking partner. The tap-to-pay service is now available on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, with support for Mac coming soon.

Initially, only customers with Axis Bank-issued Visa and Mastercard credit cards can add their cards to Apple Pay to make in-store and online payments across India, as well as anywhere that accepts NFC transactions.
