Meta wants companies, not just advertisers, to pay for its AI. The Facebook and Instagram parent has launched Meta Enterprise Platform, a new business line that will sell its AI models, agents and coding tools to businesses. The move puts Meta in direct competition with Microsoft and Google for corporate technology budgets.To run it, Mark Zuckerberg has hired Chirantan “CJ” Desai, who until Monday was CEO and President of database company MongoDB. Desai joins as Chief Enterprise Platform Officer and reports directly to Zuckerberg. “We believe superintelligence will create significant new opportunities for all people and businesses,” Zuckerberg said, calling the unit “the next major pillar of our business.”
