Airtel says AI-powered spam detection solution flags 98.4 bn calls, 4.4 bn messages in two years of launch
NEW DELHI: Bharti Airtel on Friday said that its AI-powered network-level spam detection system has identified 98.4 billion spam calls and 4.4 billion spam messages since its launch two years ago.
The system operates continuously in the background without requiring subscribers to download separate applications or file manual complaints, forming a first line of defence against organized cybercrime across India.
Airtel has also blocked more than 1.62 million malicious links across SMS, messaging platforms, emails, and browser redirects for mobile and Wi-Fi broadband customers.
