12 years of Make in India: Country transitions from assembly to globally competitive manufacturing hub, say executives
NEW DELHI: Twelve years of the Make in India initiative have transformed the national technology landscape from basic localised assembly into a globally competitive manufacturing ecosystem, according to senior industry executives.
As India’s electronics sector expands, companies are increasingly shifting their operational focus toward deeper backward integration, domestic component ecosystems, local research and development, and resilient supply chain networks, the executives added.
“Make in India is about creating infrastructure, enterprise and innovation that allow India to grow and prosper!” Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter) on Friday.
