“Compute in space will round up to 100%”: Elon Musk backs future of AI compute as Google announces Project Suncatcher test launch

San Francisco (California) [US], September 25 (ANI): Space X and Tesla boss Elon Musk has made a futuristic prediction about compute claiming that most of it will move into outer space. The prediction came as Google announced Project Suncatcher its ‘moonshot’ to put AI in space.

Sharing a video featuring Google’s Senior Director, Paradigms of Intelligence Travis Beals, Musk said, “The amount of compute in space will obviously round up to 100% of all compute.”

Earlier in a post on X dated September 13, Musk said, “I am highly confident that SpaceX will be launching Nvidia VR NLV72 AI computers in space next year.”
