Nothing hives off CMF into standalone India-based company for global expansion

Smart devices maker Nothing is hiving off its subsidiary CMF into a standalone Indian company as it seeks to develop the brand into a global consumer electronics player, a top company official said on Monday. The move will position India as the base for CMF’s global expansion, leveraging the country’s position as the world’s second-largest smartphone manufacturing hub.

Nothing CEO Carl Pei, who co-founded the OnePlus smartphone, reiterated that CMF will stop as a product line of the company and will be incorporated in India with majority of Indian shareholders.
