Top 10 Youngest Billionaires in 2026: AI boom creates record fortune for under-40
The artificial intelligence boom is creating a new generation of young billionaires in the US. A record 10 billionaires under the age of 40 have made it to the 2026 Forbes 400 list of America’s richest people, more than double the four who made the cut last year.
Seven of the 10 are new entrants, and all seven built their fortunes through companies linked to the AI boom.
The rise comes even as the wealth needed to enter the Forbes 400 has reached a record $4.4 billion, up from $3.8 billion last year. Forbes said the higher entry bar pushed a record 590 American billionaires below the cutoff.
