Micron begins shipping memory products from Gujarat plant to global customers: Sanjay Mehrotra
NEW DELHI: The US-based Micron Technology said on Thursday that its DRAM and NAND products have started shipping from its Sanand plant in Gujarat to customers globally, adding that the company employs more than 7,000 individuals directly in the country.
“Earlier this year, we began commercial production at Sanand. It is the first semiconductor assembly and test facility here in India and the first project under the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM),” Sanjay Mehrotra, chairman & CEO of Micron Technology, said at the inauguration of the Semicon India 2026 event being organised here from September 17 to September 19.
