BharatPe supports new MDR framework, says Ashneer Grover’s views do not represent company’s position

New Delhi [India], September 17 (ANI): BharatPe has strongly backed the new MDR framework for UPI merchant transactions, with Nalin Negi, CEO, BharatPe, saying the move will strengthen the economics of digital payments while continuing to protect consumers and micro and small merchants.

Nalin Negi, CEO BharatPe said, “The new MDR framework proves that UPI will remain free for consumers while building a sustainable, robust and stronger payments ecosystem. Consumers continue to pay no charges for UPI, while micro and small merchants under the P2PM framework remain protected with Zero MDR.
