Apple under scrutiny: India’s consumer protection body steps up probe over iOS 18 related complaints
The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has escalated its scrutiny of Apple Inc, launching a detailed investigation into the ongoing technical glitches reported by iPhone users following the iOS 18 update, official sources confirmed on Tuesday.
The regulatory move comes a year after the CCPA first issued a notice to Apple Inc demanding a comprehensive explanation regarding the reported technical flaws, the timeline of their appearance, and the mitigation steps taken by the tech giant. With issues continuing to linger a year later, sources stated that the authority “has now initiated a detailed investigation into the matter.”
