“I think that will happen”: OpenAI CEO Sam Altman hints at safety pact with other AI companies

In an interview with Fortune on Friday, OpenAI Chief Executive Officer Sam Altman pointed towards an imminent cross-industry framework.

Addressing Fortune Editor-in-Chief Alyson Shontell regarding why major laboratory heads do not convene directly to establish risk-mitigation measures, Altman stated, “I think that will happen.”
