Qualcomm says 6G’s AI-native future demands proactive spectrum policy: Report
NEW DELHI: Qualcomm has outlined its vision for 6G, positioning the next-generation mobile standard as an “AI-native” network deeply integrated with artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced sensing capabilities, according to a Light Reading report.
At its “6G Leadership Day” in San Diego, executives highlighted connectivity, sensing, and AI support as the core pillars, moving beyond merely faster data pipes.
Durga Malladi, executive vice president and general manager (technology planning, edge solutions & data center) for Qualcomm, explained that 6G will heavily rely on AI algorithms to enhance wireless communications and support a new wave of AI-capable devices extending beyond smartphones.
