Tim Cook signs off as Apple CEO, says ‘excited for the next chapter’

Apple CEO Tim Cook, penned a post on his final day as the company’s chief executive officer, saying his title would change but his ‘love’ for the Apple community would remain unchanged.

Cook took over for Steve Jobs in August 2011, when he embarked on a record-breaking 15-year tenure at the iPhone manufacturer that included the launch of the Apple Watch, AirPods, and major expansions to the iPhone, iPad and Mac lines. In his new job as executive chairman at Apple, Cook will remain responsible for working with governments around the world, including those of the US and China.
