Apple may expand manufacturing in India beyond iPhones
Apple could expand its manufacturing operations in India beyond iPhones, while Google may shift a significant portion of its export-oriented device production from China to the country, Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said, reported TOI.
Vaishnaw said Apple’s manufacturing ecosystem in India could eventually encompass other hardware categories, building on the scale the company has established through iPhone production. Google, meanwhile, could use India as a major export manufacturing hub as it diversifies its supply chain away from China.
