Intel study reveals surge in enterprise robotics adoption but 3 gaps threaten deployment

Enterprise robotics adoption is expanding, yet critical deficits across operational strategy, talent, safety frameworks and edge infrastructure risk limiting organisations from scaling successfully, according to new research commissioned by Intel. The study, titled The Robotics Readiness Gap, surveyed 800 executive decision-makers, IT managers, robotics engineers, and public sector officials across the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, China and South Korea, representing enterprises generating over $500 million in annual revenue.

The findings confirm that autonomous systems are no longer treated as experimental trials, with organisations already recording tangible gains across operational speed, quality control, and workplace output.
