Nvidia H200 AI processors enter China: These two companies secure new batches

Chinese regulatory authorities have reportedly begun permitting limited quantities of Nvidia’s H200 artificial intelligence (AI) processors into mainland China, providing critical computing power to domestic tech companies as they work to close the technological gap with American competitors. Citing a source familiar with the developments, The Financial Times reported that both ByteDance and Tencent have taken delivery of roughly 10,000 H200 units over recent weeks while several others may receive clearance in the near future.

The H200 processor sits at least two product cycles behind Nvidia’s flagship silicon, as strict US trade controls bar Chinese buyers from obtaining America’s most capable AI hardware.
