Ericsson, MediaTek achieve decimeter-level positioning accuracy using 5G, GNSS RTK

NEW DELHI: Swedish Ericsson and Taiwanese chip designer MediaTek on Wednesday said they have completed the first end-to-end test of high-precision outdoor positioning, achieving decimeter-level accuracy using a commercial fifth-generation (5G) network and standardised 3GPP technology for Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) Real-Time Kinematic (RTK).
