29 candidates apply for BSNL CMD role: Report

NEW DELHI: 29 applicants, including seven from the private sector, have applied for the role of the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) at the state-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), according to a report by NDTV Profit on Tuesday.

The deadline for the applications for the top role at BSNL was July 22.

The government is preparing to shortlist candidates for the post of BSNL CMD, and is expected to start scrutinising applications, the report said.
