Paytm block deal: Vijay Shekhar Sharma’s Resilient Asset likely sells nearly 2 crore shares worth Rs 2,949 crore

Shares of One 97 Communications, the parent company of Paytm, fell nearly 2% on Tuesday after 1.92 crore shares worth nearly Rs 2,949 crore changed hands in a block deal, with Resilient Asset Management BV likely to be the seller.

Netherlands-based Resilient Asset Management, wholly owned by Paytm founder and CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma, earlier offered to sell up to 1.92 crore shares, representing about 3% of the company’s existing total share capital. At the floor price of Rs 1,535.10 per share, the base deal is valued at around Rs 2,949 crore.
