Fireflies.ai brings its AI notetaker to the inbox with Email Assistant, now free on all plans
Fireflies.ai, the AI meeting assistant used by more than 20 million people and teams at 75% of Fortune 500 companies, has moved into the inbox. On Friday the company launched Email Assistant, which plugs into Gmail or Outlook and treats email the way it already treats calls—sorting what lands, labelling it by priority, and dropping drafted replies into the thread before you get to them.
The pitch rests on a familiar arithmetic. Microsoft’s 2025 Work Trend Index found the average worker receives 117 emails a day, with 40% of people online at 6am already checking mail and nearly a third back at it by 10pm—the “infinite workday” Microsoft has been warning about.
