Ecommerce order volumes up 31% during Independence Day sales
India’s ecommerce sector recorded a 31 per cent year-on-year growth in order volumes during the 2026 Independence Day sale period, according to data by e-commerce enablement platform Unicommerce.
The insights, derived from order items processed on the company’s Uniware platform between August 6 and 14, also revealed a 30 per cent jump in total sales value, or gross merchandise value (GMV), compared to the same period in 2025.
