Centre approves electronics manufacturing cluster in Rajnandgaon; ₹3,000 crore investment expected

Raipur: The Centre has approved the establishment of an Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC 2.0) in Chhattisgarh’s Rajnandgaon district, which is expected to attract investment of more than ₹3,000 crore and generate nearly 9,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities, officials said on Friday.

The approval by the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is being seen as a major boost to Chhattisgarh’s efforts to emerge as a preferred destination for high-tech manufacturing, a state government official said.
