Google’s $15 billion data centre project in India faces environmental challenges

Google’s proposed USD 15 billion data center hub in India in increasingly facing objections from environmental groups due to concerns about wildlife and water resources, which could make the tech giant’s largest-ever investment in the nation more difficult.

As part of the project, the large portions of a hillside in Andhra Pradesh have already been scraped and altered for construction. According to the state government, the initiative will be historic and revolutionary for the area.
