Thousands of WhatsApp users across several countries have reported problems with the messaging platform, with the outage affecting photos, videos, stickers and other media files. Users said regular text messages continued to work in many cases, but multimedia files failed to upload or remained stuck with loading icons. Some users also encountered repeated error or “retry” messages while attempting to send photos and videos. Reports of WhatsApp not working came from countries including the United Kingdom, France, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Spain and Colombia, suggesting that the issue affected users across multiple regions.
