Meta assure additional oversight for PM or other prominent account

Meta Platforms, led by CEO Mark Zuckerberg, has informed the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) that prominent accounts, including that of the Prime Minister, will be subject to additional oversight on its platforms.

According to the company, any decision involving prominent accounts—such as removing content or reducing its reach—will undergo rigorous checks and require review by at least two senior company officials before action is taken.
