    Advantest raises profit outlook on chip-testing demand

    TOKYO: Advantest raised its annual operating profit forecast by 35% on Wednesday as spending on artificial ‌intelligence ⁠drives ⁠demand for its chip-testing equipment.

    Advantest expects operating profit to rise by 70% to 846 billion yen ($5.17 billion) ⁠in the ‌financial year ending March 2027.

    ⁠The average forecast from analysts polled by LSEG was for operating profit of 686 billion yen in the year ‌to March 31.
