Klassroom bets on AI tutor, regional content as it prepares for SME IPO
Edtech startup Klassroom is building AI-powered private tutors, multilingual learning tools and dedicated AI innovation labs as it prepares for its public market debut, with a significant portion of its IPO proceeds earmarked for AI investments, cofounder and chief executive Dhumil Javeri said. The company already uses OpenAI’s GPT and Google’s Gemini models and is evaluating the integration of India’s Sarvam AI as part of a multi-model architecture.
The Mumbai-based company, which has filed draft papers for a BSE SME IPO, plans to use the fresh issue proceeds to strengthen its AI/ML technology stack. Klassroom said demand for AI-focused courses has surged over the past year and expects its AI programmes to become one of its fastest-growing offerings.
