Mitsubishi Electric, Sony Semiconductor Solutions form JV to build AI vision sensor solutions
NEW DELHI: Mitsubishi Electric said on Wednesday it has agreed to establish a joint venture with Sony Semiconductor Solutions to build AI vision sensor solutions for manufacturing applications.
Mitsubishi Electric and Sony will hold 60% and 40%, respectively, in the JV company, Advanced Vision Solutions.
It is scheduled to commence operations in October 2026.
The JV will enable both companies to integrate Sony’s image sensors and edge AI technologies with Mitsubishi Electric’s expertise in factory automation (FA) control systems.
