India’s Space Policy ‘removes old monopolies’, builds futuristic ecosystem: DoT’s Manish Sinha

NEW DELHI: India’s Space Policy of 2023 has removed traditional “monopolies” in the sector, and built a forward-looking ecosystem, said a senior official of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) on Wednesday.

“I think that it (policy) is going to be the primary driver of growth in the coming years…it has removed old monopolies, built a forward-looking ecosystem where the regulator, the research institutions and the private sector operate in complete synergy,” said Manish Sinha, member (finance), DoT.
