Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang still has to step in to help resolve internal competition for computing resources, a senior executive of the company has revealed. Speaking on The Verge’s Decoder podcast, the US-based chip giant’s head of automotive, Xinzhou Wu, said Nvidia’s teams regularly compete for access to GPUs used for training and testing AI models, adding, “And sometimes we need Jensen to help.”
Wu said that despite Nvidia’s position as a leading supplier of AI chips, the company also faces limited GPU availability internally.
