Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang bets on ‘Made in Japan’ AI robots to solve country’s ‘one of biggest problems’
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has pushed for next-gen, ‘Made in Japan’ robots. The AI company recently joined forces with Japan’s top tech and industrial heavyweights for a massive push into “physical AI”, which are smart, futuristic robots that can think independently rather than just following rigid, pre-programmed instructions. The collaboration brings together Nvidia’s AI computing power with Fujitsu, Japan’s manufacturing powerhouse.
Announcing the deal in Tokyo alongside Huang were Fujitsu CEO Takahito Tokita, as well as the CEOs of Japan’s premier industrial robotics manufacturers: Fanuc Corp., Yaskawa Electric Corp., and Kawasaki Heavy Industries.
