AI won’t diminish IT services, will instead make it more vital: Anand Mahindra at Tech Mahindra AGM

Dismissing fears that artificial intelligence (AI) could kill India’s IT services industry, Tech Mahindra Chairman Anand Mahindra on Friday asserted that the sector’s role would “not diminish” but instead evolve and become even more critical in many ways.

Speaking at Tech Mahindra’s annual general meeting (AGM), Mahindra said India cannot be only a consumer of intelligence built elsewhere. It must also be a creator, shaper and trusted deployer of intelligence, he added.
