ISM 2.0: MEA plans roadshows in US, Japan, Taiwan to woo investors
NEW DELHI: The New, Emerging and Strategic Technology (Nest) arm of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) is planning multiple roadshows across a few developed economies to showcase India’s potential and boost foreign direct investment (FDI) across the country’s semiconductor value chain, as part of the newly unveiled India Semiconductor Mission (ISM) 2.0, a top official said.
“We are planning to organise roadshows in countries such as the United States, Japan and Taiwan, as well as a few European countries, to raise awareness about the India Semiconductor Mission 2.0 scheme and the country’s burgeoning semiconductor ecosystem among potential investors and multinationals,” the official told ET on the condition of anonymity.
