Airtel’s premiumisation strategy yielding healthy ARPU growth despite tariff concerns: Analysts
NEW DELHI: Bharti Airtel’s premiumisation strategy is yielding healthy average revenue per user (ARPU) growth, despite the telecom carrier’s management flagging the need for a tariff repair in the wireless industry to ensure long-term sustainability, according to analysts.
“Bharti’s premiumisation strategy continues to yield healthy ARPU growth via: feature phone to smartphone upgrade; prepaid to postpaid upgrade; maximising data monetisation; and expanding international roaming penetration,” JM Financial said in a research note Monday, which ETTelecom has reviewed.
