PM Modi inaugurates CG Semi’s Sanand OSAT facility, says semicon cluster being born in India
NEW DELHI: India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday launched the commercial production of chips at CG Semi’s outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) facility in Sanand, Gujarat, marking the commissioning of operations at a third such factory in India after Micron Technology and Kaynes Semicon.
CG Semi – a joint venture between CG Power and Industrial Solutions of the Murugappa Group, Renesas Electronics, and Stars Microelectronics – has commenced commercial production at its G1 OSAT facility in Sanand, which will have a peak capacity of 300 million units per year.
